They both fancy me.

They both fancy me.

...There has got to be some logical explanation for why both of them have so entirely lost their minds. Close proximity, sexual tension, sexual frustration -- something, anything -- there has to be some good reason for all of this.

Beyond them actually fancying me.

Christ.

Valentine's Day should bloody well go to Hell, where it belongs.

Maybe you just need someone to make the day a bit better for you.

Someone in my House has to. We can't all be book-beating Neanderthals who rely on our dazzling intellects to get laid.

True. Although the dazzling intellects do help - I like a man who can compare the differences between Da Vinci and Botticelli while he has my cock down his throat.

...Which I'm sure you know all about, eh, Boot?

So, explain to me, why is this particular Valentine's Day so terrible?

Can't argue there, and I honestly do have to commend your taste. As a matter of personal preference, though, I find it much more enticing when a man can give a miniature dissertation on the Sapphic subtext of Virginia Woolf when he has his hands tied and his face is becoming intimately acquainted with the desks in the Transfiguration classroom.

But, then, that's just me.

It is horribly, wretchedly inconvenient, that's why.

That was one wild night. Makes me almost miss Hogwarts.

Any particular reason why it's so horribly inconvenient?

It doesn't particularly have that effect on me. Makes me miss having uniforms with ties, though.

Love. Fancying. Drunken kisses and the repercussions thereof. Also, two of my best mates seem to have gone completely, and perhaps irreparably, insane.

Ties? Oh, you are a kinky one, Boot. It's hot.

[Private to Terry]
Are the two things linked?

Quite intrinsically.

It's true. As are classrooms, and deserted corridors, and dorm rooms, and broom closets, and the grounds, and the Forbidden Forest...

...Where haven't we had sex, Terry?

[Private to Terry]
You obviously have a lot on your plate. You're too attractive for your own good.

What friends are these, may I ask?

...The kitchens, I think? The House Elves were spectating and it was awkward. Oh, and various professorial offices.

Slughorn's did have really nice divans, though.

...Do you think he ever bothered cleaning them?

[Private to Theodore]
Would that I had a lot on my plate. All Lupin trusts any of us to handle involves books and paperwork and my so-called 'love life' is really just the figment of a demented six-year-old who has no sense of timing.

Michael and Anthony. Both of them have decided that, not only do they fancy me, but that now is the best time to tell me.

Oh, yes, that was rather weird. It's hard to concentrate on snogging someone senseless when a house elf is trying to give you biscuits and tea (milk and two sugars).

Yes, they were rather nice. I like how we ended up shagging on them when the main reason we were in there in the first place was because we got caught in a compromising position in the hallway. Thank the Lord for Peeves distracting Slughorn enough so that he had to hurry away. I was so horny in there.

And I... really... don't know...

[Private to Terry]
I thought Michael and Anthony were both so very straight? Damn, if only we knew back then.

I don't really know what to suggest. I assume you don't want to shag them, if it's made today so horrible?

Yes, well, life is amusing like that from time to time, and Peeves can't be a little wretch all the time.

I guess it doesn't really matter, anyway.

[Private to Theodore]
Michael was definitely supposed to be, but Anthony -- I'll admit that I never really knew which way he went.

Honestly? I wouldn't mind shagging them, but Anthony's probably a virgin, and Michael's at least a virgin with blokes, and I'm just not entirely sure I want to be the one responsible for breaking them in. I'm already going to be responsible for 'turning Michael queer' -- and, besides, what do we do if/when something happens between us? We're best mates, and I'd rather not lose them because we decide to start shagging and someone does something stupid. And they could've saved me a lot of trouble by doing this in school.

Just an ink spill.

I have a faulty quill.

You enjoy your Valentine's Day with Theodore over there.

You have any idea how much reading that hurt?

What are you talking about, 'enjoy my Valentine's Day with Theodore?'

I'm just trying to out-snark my ex, though it'd help if he actually put up a fight.

Your ex? When was he your ex?

It sounded a bit more than out snarking.

I will leave you alone now to continue your chat.

Sixth year, seventh year, maybe a little bit after that. The boundaries are rather loosely defined, since it was a pretty casual, 'friends with benefits, see you in class tomorrow' sort of thing.

Is it against the law to talk about sex with your ex? Honestly. Just because he's around and I'm talking to him doesn't mean anything. If we followed that logic, I'd be dating Sal too, because we went out and I talk to her all the time.

Talking and openly flirting are two different things.

I don't want to deal with this today. You apparently have no consideration for my feelings. Or even stop to think about how I would feel about you flirting after what I told you.

Talk to you later.

I am not flirting with him. Just because I am talking to my ex doesn't mean anything.

I do have consideration for your feelings, you prat, but I'm not going to stop talking to blokes entirely because you've decided that you fancy me. I love Sal, and Penny and Ginny are great company, but I cannot survive just on the company of you, them, and Anthony. Will I be flirting with Neville and Ernie, next time we talk?

I'm not supposed to -- I rather got on the bad side of a certain golden-haired harlot and it got me into a spot of trouble -- but I've gotten out of here for less important things. And I'm quite certain that, if I spend any more time around Michael around here, I'll go as irreparably mad as Michael and Anthony.

Name your time and place.

Do you know the King's Hotel? It's a Muggle place, but I'm having to stay here for the while... I'll explain later. Room 23B. As soon as possible.

I'll be waiting.
